Itineration Nearing the End

EntsmingersJan09 Infour months we are scheduled to once again leave family and friends forthe mission field. There will be many changes this time. Instead offlying south to Honduras we will be flying east to Spain. Instead of 5of us there will only be 3 of us. We will be leaving Nathan and Rachelin the U.S. as college students. Instead of returning to old friends,we will be making new friends. It is an exciting adventure God hascalled us to undertake. We look forward to the challenges and thevictories as we take this new step in our ministry.

Weappreciate so many who have made this possible for nearly 21 years thatwe have been AGWM missionaries. We are grateful to those who haveprayed with us over the years. We are thankful for those who givesacrificially so that we can proclaim the gospel in other countries. Wethank the many pastors who have allowed us to come to their church andshare with their congregation our calling to reach the children andyouth of Spain. We can not do it without them.

But in order toleave for Spain on time June 9, we still need to finish raising ourcash and commitment budgets. Today, we still need $15,000 in cash andat least $1,500 in monthly commitments by May 9 for AGWM approval toleave on June 9. That is only 3 months away. But nothing is impossiblefor God. Pray with us and believe with us that what seems impossible tous, will be accomplished by God's great power. Maybe you would bewilling to be an instrument in making the miracle happen. Allow theHoly Spirit to speak to you today and simply be obedient.

An Encounter to Remember

HUNGARY:  More than 500 university students, campus ministry leaders and missionaries from 32 nations gathered at a former communist training camp July 31-August 8 for Budapest Encounter. The conference was organized to help students connect with God and be empowered for ministry.

Several participants were baptized in the Holy Spirit and sensed God speaking to them. “Many students testified of God’s call to ministry and missions,” says missionary Kirk Priest, who spearheaded the gathering.

Ramadan Prayer Guide

We are in the last full week of Ramadan. It will come to an end somewhere between the 8th and 10th of September depending on the sighting of the moon. Ramadan will end with a two-day celebration called “Eid Al-Fitr.” “Eid” is the Arabic word for “festivity” and “Al-Fitr” carries the idea of “to purify.” Thus, “Eid Al-Fitr” is the Festival of Purification.

Please pray with us that people of this religious persuasion around the world will come to the knowledge that only the blood of Jesus can purify them from their sins.
