Leaving forSpain
News from Steve and Tece EntsmingerNathan, Rachel and MatthewAGWM Missionaries to the Children andYouth of SpainAugust 2009
The day has finally arrived! We will beleaving for Madrid, Spain on August 13 for four years. A huge thanksto all who prayed, gave and encouraged us during this process.
Our missions transfer from Honduras toSpain has been five years in the making. Returning to
Honduras inJune 2004, God spoke to us to “get things in order”. We receivedthat as His word to put in order the King’s Castle ministry that wefounded and directed since our arrival in 1990. With God’s help, great Honduran leadership and a lot of heartache and tears, we leftour Honduran family and country. We moved to Valdosta, Georgia wherewe’ve been living the past two years, our longest statesidefurlough since 1989 when we left for language school in San José,Costa Rica. While stateside, we itinerated to raise an increasedbudget, reconnected with friends and family, built and lived in ourfirst home and buried Tece’s younger brother and her father. Stevebegan his Master’s in Christian Ministry, which he will completesoon, Tece taught preschool Spanish and substitute taught in thepublic high school, Rachel graduated from high school, Nathan begancollege and Matt became a great soccer player. We are especiallygrateful to Sharon (Tece’s spiritual sister) and Joe and Ann,Steve’s parents, our greatest encouragers.

Now begins the next chapter of our lifeand ministry. We want our next 20 or so years to be spent reachingSpain. We are grateful Matthew will be accompanying us, at leastuntil his graduation in 2014. The Honduras Assemblies of God, incooperation with the King’s Castle ministry, will be sending usfour full-time missionaries for one year and others throughout theyear. They are now raising their support. Nathan and Rachel willlive in Valdosta and are enrolled at the university. For us, “theempty nest syndrome,” is reversed as we leave our children ratherthan them leaving us.
NATE
Nate finished his first year atValdosta State University and the Air Force ROTC program. He’s notsure about a major, but knows he wants to join the Air Force
atgraduation. He has done very well academically and socially.
RACHEL
Rachel graduated from Lowndes HighSchool. She is enrolled at South Georgia College which is on theValdosta State University campus. She has been a summer missionary inHonduras experiencing history in the making with the politicalunrest. It was a great experience to return to her homeland, be withher Honduran family and minister with the missionary group coming toSpain.
MATT
Matt finished seventh grade withacademic honors. The past two years he has been on an excellentsoccer team and improved his skills. Maybe one day he’ll play onthe Manchester United soccer team!

An Encounter to Remember
![]() |
HUNGARY: More than 500 university students, campus ministry leaders and missionaries from 32 nations gathered at a former communist training camp July 31-August 8 for Budapest Encounter. The conference was organized to help students connect with God and be empowered for ministry.
Several participants were baptized in the Holy Spirit and sensed God speaking to them. “Many students testified of God’s call to ministry and missions,” says missionary Kirk Priest, who spearheaded the gathering.
Ramadan Prayer Guide
![]() |
We are in the last full week of Ramadan. It will come to an end somewhere between the 8th and 10th of September depending on the sighting of the moon. Ramadan will end with a two-day celebration called “Eid Al-Fitr.” “Eid” is the Arabic word for “festivity” and “Al-Fitr” carries the idea of “to purify.” Thus, “Eid Al-Fitr” is the Festival of Purification.
Please pray with us that people
of this religious persuasion around the world will come to the knowledge that
only the blood of Jesus can purify them from their sins.
